3D printing or Additive Manufacturing is a relatively new commercial production process and is used to create three dimensional objects, in which layers of material are formed under computer control to create an object.
Amazing things are being made such as: football boots, cars, bikes, wheel chairs, parts for jets, guns, art, precision tools, jewelry, fancy shaped sweets, clothes, medical models, bio. parts for human … and much much more! As can be seen 3D printing outputs are generally of a small to medium scale.
3D printing in the construction industry is not entirely new … the Russians however, have significantly upscaled the output of the printing process by applying it to house building … they have PRINTED a concrete house in situ in 24 hours for £8k … AMAZING or WHAT!
